I’ve taught hundreds of students how to cut glass and these are exactly the same steps which I use in my classrooms. You’ll meet the Big Four of glass tools – the cutter, the running pliers, the grozers and the breaking pliers. Then we’ll practice scoring glass and learn eight different ways to break it apart. Why eight different ways? Because depending on the size and kind of glass that you’re working with, one way might be more appropriate than another. Finally, you’ll learn how to cut curves and how to follow a pattern. Once you learn the basics of cutting glass, you can dive into the worlds of stained art glass and fused glass. There is no other feeling in the world like the feeling you get when you score and snap apart that first piece of glass!
