Learn how to make beautiful, keepsake stained glass picture frames using the foil (Tiffany) method of stained glass. We’ll be making two different frames by repurposing an existing picture frame. Learn a variety of tips and tricks for designing and making your own custom picture frame. These are a few of the techniques we’ll cover:

  • Stained glass overlays
  • Twisted wire
  • Include organics, either as part of the design or adhered to the glass
  • How to treat organics so they aren’t damaged by flux and patina
  • How to add a wire hanger for wall hanging

About The Instructor
Cheryl Peterson

Cheryl started working with stained glass in 2005. She uses her background in graphic design and combines kiln formed glass to create original, fun and unique designs. Cheryl works in both foil and lead methods of stained glass, creating original designs, three dimensional creations and lead restorations. She is an affiliate member of the Stained Glass Association of America and former president of the Glass Art Guild of Utah. Her commission work and restorations can be found is private residences and businesses across the United States.
