Excellent for general knowledge on making components (this is ocean based, but techniques are obviously transferrable to other types of layering). Lots of surprises, e.g. who knew that would be addressed in this class. Jodi is a fun instructor–especially appreciates that she crams in a lot of info in the time available and still manages to demonstrate multiple ways of creating color and texture, which is not an easy task. Certainly worth the time, but beware–you will realize that you must add this one to your collection!

The course covers how to make a coral reef both numerous types of float glass as well as art glass. Jodie also provides background information about the coral reefs themselves, along with photos of fish and reefs she’s personally photographed.
