About the course
This course covers the basics of constructing a character head, from design, to the armature, to it's realisation, using clay. We will be constructing a human caricature as well as that of an animal. We will will also be covering how to achieve skin textures and hair. At the end of the course, you will have achieved your very own character head as well as the skills to experiment and hopefully develop your own ideas even further!
About The Instructor
Becky Smith
Becky Smith is an English Sculptor and model maker. Her work is character based and is often whimsical with a slight comical and surreal twist, but very much grounded with a realism. Every sculpture she creates, has it's own personality and back story and is truly unique. Becky has been commissioned and sold works in Canada, The United States and Europe. She currently resides in Grondines, Q.C, with her partner and is owned by four cats.
