About the course
The Art Doll is a work of art drawn from the mind and hand of the artist and not bound by the same rules as dolls in other categories. It doesn't not have to be recognizable as a human form. It may be dressed or not.
The reasons for creating art dolls are as varied as are the artists who imagine them into being, just as is true for all types of art, whatever the form and whatever the medium.
In this course we will learn how to make polymer clay art dolls (head, hands, and feet) armatures for body and a soft sculpted body. We'll then cover how to put it all together!
The theme for this course are Polymer Clay Elves. A great first step for an aspiring art doll artist is to learn how to create expressive characters. Characters that tell a story. This is what you will ge twith this course.
