Contemporary Ribbon Jewellery
If you are looking for movement, elegance and modernity, this is what you will get with this technique. Simple and infinitely variable, this technique allows the creation of rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings or brooches with innovative and sculptural shapes. Requiring little material, it is easy to set up. This workshop will cover which clays to use for this technique, how to sublimate a ribbon of clay, how to create movement with the ribbon. I will detail how to make different designs of rings made entirely of polymer clay (simple, textured, double...) as well as a bracelet whose secret of fabrication consists in a baking tip.
Coil Connectors and Wing-Beads
A fun technique to connect beads of polymer clay or other materials together to form bigger objects. This is a very useful technique that is easy to vary and that you can easily develop to suit your own style. Coil connectors are about creating optical lines that guide the viewer's eye around your piece. Wing beads are a variant of coil connectors, which means that narrow beads made of polymer clay get a fixed mutual placement that you can use to emphasize or complement a larger focus bead.
Polymer Clay Patchwork Bag
I’m going to teach you how to make a small and colorful patchwork bag out of polymer clay. During the workshop we will explore how to use texture sheets, powders, polyester cord to make patchwork, as well as bag findings. Most of all, we are going to have fun creating and exploring the countless possibilities of this wonderful medium!
